Bridging Healthcare with Economic Development
Our Goal for PACE in ENC
Aiming for a 10% reduction in hospital readmissions among participants compared to regional averages
Strengthen the Rural Healthcare Workforce
Aiming for a 25% increase in locally trained physicians who choose to practice in Eastern NC’s underserved areas within five years of program completion.
Our Mission
Working to create PACE programming for the elderly as well as creating savings for healthcare systems at large. Promoting residency programs to recruit primary care physicians, and specialists to eastern NC's underserved areas.
PACE Programs for Our Elderly Family Members
The Program of All-Inclusive Care for the Elderly (PACE) is designed to help seniors live independently while receiving the medical, social, and personal support they need. Through PACE, participants gain access to a coordinated network of healthcare professionals, transportation, rehabilitation, and home-based services — all tailored to their individual needs.
PACE empowers older adults to remain in their homes and communities rather than moving into nursing facilities, providing peace of mind for both participants and their families. With one team managing every aspect of care, seniors receive compassionate, personalized attention that focuses on improving quality of life and maintaining independence.

Residency Programs for Rural Healthcare
Expanding Access to Quality Care in Rural Eastern NC
Eastern North Carolina deserves the same access to high-quality healthcare as larger cities. By bringing physician and specialist residency programs to the region, we’re training the next generation of doctors right where they’re needed most. These programs help ensure that local communities benefit from skilled, compassionate medical professionals who understand the unique health needs of rural residents.
Training Tomorrow’s Healthcare Leaders
Residency programs in Eastern NC are more than an educational opportunity — they’re an investment in the future of rural healthcare. By offering hands-on training for physicians and specialists in community hospitals and clinics, we’re creating a pipeline of dedicated providers who are more likely to stay and serve in the region long-term. Together, we’re building a stronger, healthier future for Eastern North Carolina.
Strengthening Rural Communities Through Medical Education
When residency programs thrive in rural areas, communities thrive too. Establishing physician and specialist training programs in Eastern NC helps bridge healthcare gaps, attract medical talent, and improve access to essential services. These initiatives bring innovation, expertise, and hope to the region — ensuring every patient, no matter where they live, receives the quality care they deserve.

What we're about
Core Pillars
Empowering Seniors & Strengthening Systems
We’re working to bring programming to the region, helping older adults remain independent and safe in their homes while improving care coordination. At the same time, our efforts drive sustainable cost savings for healthcare systems, reducing pressure on acute resources and freeing up funds to reinvest in the community.
Building a Physician Pipeline for Rural Eastern NC
Recognizing the shortage of primary care providers and specialists in underserved areas, we promote and support residency programs designed to place skilled physicians in Eastern North Carolina. By recruiting and training high-caliber talent locally, we’re forging a resilient, long-term network of healthcare providers who choose to live and practice in the communities that need them most.
